Michele has focused his work on Transportation Systems with a special focus on rolling stock. He has directed and collaborated in multi-company and multi-national team’s through all the stages of different projects from sales, design, manufacturing, commissioning, service and maintenance. He has put a special focus in the development, set-up and improvement of service and maintenance organizations.
After four years in various assignments with Electrowatt Engineering Ltd., Zurich, Switzerland he founded in 1994 today’s Molinari Rail Group. Today the Group consists of Molinari Rail AG in Switzerland, SAS Ingenieurbuero AG, Arbon Switzerland, and Molinari Rail Austria GmbH in Austria, which are independent companies with special focus on transportation systems in general and on all aspects of rolling stock. Molinari Rail is further present in Germany, Italy, USA, Turkey, Russia, Malaysia and Colombia. Molinari Rail has completed with great success demanding projects in the whole world: METR region, China, Asia, Americas
Since 1994 he served in different projects as for example in London, UK, for CB Rail where he served as Project Manager of the build and service supervision of 35 new TRAXX locomotives ordered at Bombardier Transportation and in different projects in Germany. More over Michele served on projects in France for Connex/Veolia, Paris, in Venezuela for Metro Maracaibo and Metro Valencia and in Colombia for Metro Medellin. In Italy he was assigned as Project Manager for the performance improvement of the tilting system of 43 ICE-T EMU-train sets of Deutsche Bahn for Alstom Ferroviaria S.p.A, Savigliano and of course in various assignments in Switzerland for Swiss Federal Railways SBB.
